To make sure customers get the most out of its custom machined industrial components, L. & M. Precision Products has a comprehensive Quality Assurance Program. Run by the company’s trained quality-assurance team, this program manages L. & M.’s automatic screw machining operations efficiently with highly reputed lean manufacturing process tools like Just-In Time and Kanban.

The quality-assurance department consists of skilled professionals who dedicate themselves to ensure that all custom machined industrial components meet L. & M.’s exceptional standards.

Following a strong quality policy

L. & M. works under a strong quality policy, which is created with the customer requirements in mind and guides every project it undertakes. According to this policy, all staff are committed to improving process efficiency in a cost-effective way. In addition, customer satisfaction is always the top objective. The company never ships a product to a client until its quality meets the exact specifications requested. The Quality Assurance Program is evaluated by management on a regular basis, with all internal efforts directed towards constant improvement.

L. & M.’s quality-assurance department uses automated and manual processes to calibrate gauges, scales, and other instruments regularly, to make sure that products are sampled correctly for quality purposes. Sampling plans provide regular sampling before and during product runs, blending human calibration with equipment calibration to meet all specifications.

The company has been ISO-registered for more than 20 years and has a new ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Standard, and these sampling plans are always developed according to ISO standards. ISO registrar PricewaterhouseCoopers conducts an annual audit of the company to make sure that it is still meeting regular ISO re-certification requirements and updating its ISO certificate when required.

L. & M. begins its quality-assurance process before every job even begins, and the process continues until the client gets the finished product: it goes from upfront estimation through engineering and production to shipping. All staff contribute to this process at some stage.
