York Fluid Controls supplies Q-Pumps' QTS series.

York Fluid Controls supplies pump solutions by Q-Pumps, a successful manufacturer in Querétaro, Mexico. Q-Pumps makes the innovative QTS series of twin screw pumps, which suit a wide range of applications. QTS pumps bring positive displacement to a whole new level with 100 per cent sanitary use and optional rectangular inlets. With 3-A, FDA, and EHEDG certifications, they are perfect for products with high air and gas content.

Narrow tolerances for vacuum capacity

QTS twin screw pumps are also ideal to use as CIP and process pumps, which reduces time and maintenance expenses. Q-Pumps recommends them for many applications in the food-processing industry, including dairy products, dough, sauces, confectionary, meat, oil, honey, pulps, syrups, and purees. They are also useful in pharmaceuticals and personal care and for abrasive products.

These are self-priming pumps manufactured in 100 per cent stainless steel, with wet parts in 316L stainless steel. They are capable of speeds up to 3,000 revolutions per minute and handling products with up to 60 per cent entrained air. QTS pumps are compatible with mechanical, o-ring, and lip seals. Clamp connections are standard, and DIN, SMS, and Bevel Seat connections are available.

Other major characteristics include single and double mechanical seals, rough-use bearing boxes, optimized rotors, and narrow tolerances for vacuum capacity. Specifications include the following: flow of 4,656 litres per minute; pressure of 300 pounds per square inch; viscosity of 1,000,000 centipoise; and temperature range of up to 120 degrees Celsius. Stainless steel bases are available for NEMA or IEC, and users have the option to increase suction size and discharge connections.

These twin screw pumps from York Fluid Controls are pulsation-free, easy to assemble or disassemble, bidirectional, and 100 per cent drainable. Among other user benefits are 100 per cent high-speed CIP, constant flow, high suction capacity that eliminates low NPSH issues, gentle handling of cut-sensitive products, and no contact between casing and rotor working at high pressures.
