circumferential piston pumps

York Fluid Controls offers Q-Pumps' QP series.

Many great pump solutions come from Q-Pumps, an internationally recognized manufacturer based in Querétaro, Mexico, whose products are available in Canada through York Fluid Controls. Among these solutions is the QP series of circumferential piston pumps, which distinguishes itself by its universal interchangeability with the Waukesha U1, U2, and U3 brands.

With all parts being switchable with those of Waukesha circumferential piston pumps – even improving the spare parts’ quality – the QP line helps users say goodbye to expensive spare parts.

Good for many food products

Available in three models (QP1, QP2, and QP3) and compliant with the strict standards for 3A and EHEDG certification, the QP series works for a good variety of applications. Q-Pumps specifically recommends it for dairy products, sauces, ice cream, and pharmaceuticals.

These circumferential piston pumps are characterized by their 316 stainless steel seals, helical gears, flexibility for four mounting positions, grease fittings on both sides, antimicrobial lubricant, and standard alloy 88 rotors that are non-galling. Each unit also has six threaded oil plugs with glass peepholes, and these plugs have self-cleaning packages in them. The QP series is capable of a flow of 1,181 gallons per minute, a pressure of 450 pounds per square inch, and a viscosity of 1,000,000 counts per second, while handling temperatures of up to 204 degrees Celsius.

Users get many distinct advantages from investing in the QP series. Each pump has a gearbox made of stainless steel, making it more resistant than standard cast iron gearboxes are. To prevent oxidation, the oil seal is made out of stainless steel, and the high-torque shafts are also extremely resistant due to their construction from one alloy. These pumps also have self-cleaning gaskets, and they come with a remanufacturing program, with a one-year warranty on reconditioned pumps. The QP1 and QP2 models can be reconstructed by using larger rotors to extend the equipment’s operational lifespan.

The QP line is just one of many great pump groups that York Fluid Controls offers from Q-Pumps. Other options available include twin-screw, centrifugal and lobular pumps, as well as drum unloaders and high-viscosity mixers. Whatever the need, Q-Pumps has a solution to fill it.
