Denso Protal coatings cure very quickly.

Denso North America has been benefiting infrastructure with its high corrosion-prevention and sealing technology for more than nine decades now, with an unsurpassed lineup of industrial solutions. The portfolio includes the Protal brand of protective pipeline coatings, a complete range of fast-curing, high-build liquid epoxies for protection above or below the ground. Users can easily apply Protal liquid coatings to pipelines via brush, roller, or spray in environments with high or low temperatures, for unmatched protection from corrosion.

High protection in one coat

Protal liquid pipeline coatings offer high-build protection, usually from an application of only one coat. Other key benefits of these solutions include high adhesion, excellent abrasion resistance, and outstanding disbondment results. Among the coatings available in Canada are Protal 7200, Protal 7125, Protal 7900HT, and Protal ST epoxy mastic. They are the perfect choice for the following applications and uses:

  • liquid coating to protect girth welds, tie-ins, and fittings from corrosion
  • liquid coating of welds for boring applications
  • repairs to FBE, fittings, and fabrication
  • rehabilitation of existing pipelines
  • coating of cadweld areas

Protal 7200 is a VOC-free, two-part epoxy coating specifically designed for FBE-coated pipes. It is also idea for onsite protection of girth welds, tie-ins, and welds for boring tasks, as well as FBE repairs, push-rack applications, station piping, fittings, and fabrication. Denso also manufactures Protal 7125, built specifically for the rehabilitation of low-temperature, in-service operating pipelines, and it is also recommended for station piping, girth welds, tie-ins, push racks in laybarge applications, FBE-fitting repairs, and fabrication.

Protal 7900HT is a high-temperature Denso coating for pipelines that function at temperatures of up to 121 degrees Celsius, and it is also suited for girth welds, pipes, fittings, calves, and fabrication. Protal ST epoxy mastic is a surface-tolerant liquid coating that is used when steel grit blasting is an infeasible method for the scenario. This epoxy mastic can be applied alone or with other topcoats for long-term exposure to water on structural steel, pipe externals, pipe racks, tanks, offshore platforms, locks, gates, or bridges.

For the best pipeline protection around, trust in Denso.
