The AST4300 Non-Incendive Pressure Transmitter, from American Sensor Technologies (AST), is designed for use in Class I Division 2 hazardous areas. Available in Canada through Durham Instruments, this pressure transmitter features a rugged construction and an industry-leading price-to-performance ratio that has made it a top choice for pressure measurement in a variety of indoor and outdoor applications.

Key features

The AST4300 utilizes AST's proprietary Krystal Bond Technology, a one-piece stainless steel sensing element that offers excellent long-term stability and repeatable results. This technology completely isolates the media to all 316L stainless steel or all Inconel 718, depending on the application. A variety of process connection threads are available, including ¼- and ½-inch NPT. Output signals are available for long transmissions or low power applications. The unit has no oil-filled cavities, welds or o-rings, making it easier to maintain. In addition, it can operate in temperatures ranging from -40 to 80 degrees C (-40 to 176 degrees F).

Suitable applications

The AST4300 can be used in a variety of process control applications, including gas compression and storage, natural gas engine pressure, oilfield SCADA pressure equipment, test equipment, refrigeration pressure, water management and more.
