Simultaneous measurement of several variables
These power and current transducers are programmable instruments with RS 232 C interfaces. The M561 supervises one variable input, which is available on an analog output signal, and input and output are electrically isolated. The M562 measures two variables at the same time and generates two electrically isolated analog output signals, while the M563 measures three simultaneous variables and generates three electrically isolated output signals.
Each of these units is also equipped with an RS 232 serial interface, to which a personal computer with the corresponding software can be connected for programming or accessing and executing useful ancillary functions. The typical methods of connection, the kinds of measured variables, their ratings, and the transfer characteristic for each output are the main parameters that one can program. The ancillary functions include displaying, recording, and evaluation of measurements on a computer, the simulation of the outputs for test purposes and a facility for printing nameplates.
