Popular dust collector features innovative filter for high filtration efficiency

Firing Industries can supply the newest version of the SILOTOP brand dust collector from WAM. The cylindrically shaped dust collector is a top solution for bin and silo venting, with tens of thousands of filters working worldwide since first going into production back in 1998. The newest version — SILOTOP ZERO — features new ABSOLUTE filter technology that has the capability to dramatically reduce dust emission in precast and concrete batching plants, while maintaining a compact design.

An innovative silo-venting filter

SILOTOP ZERO is designed for venting pneumatically filled silos. Its stainless steel body contains vertically mounted polypleat elements made from ABSOLUTE filter media, which separate dust from the airflow. Dust drops back into the silo after an integrated automatic pulse-jet air cleaning system inside the hinged weather protection cover has removed it from the filter elements. The result is a unit that can reduce dust emission in precast and concrete batching plants with high filtration efficiency (<1mg/Nm3), raising the efficiency with cement to 99.9995 per cent.

Compact design

SILOTOP ZERO features a compact 800-millimetre (30-inch) diameter stainless steel body with bottom flange. It has a 14-m2 (151-square-foot) filter surface — the same filter surface area as its highly appreciated predecessor, SILOTOP R03.

Easy to maintain

The air jet cleaning unit, which is integrated into the hinged weather protection cover with lockable quick release, is maintenance-free. In addition, the entire unit is easy to access for quick filtering element removal. In fact, filtering element replacement can be completed by one person in just a few minutes.
