Versa-Matic Pumps manufactures an impressive selection of fluid-handling solutions, available in Canada via York Fluid Controls. The portfolio includes the E5 polypropylene and Kynar product line, which has been updated to include drum-kit assemblies. Another innovative release in this lineup is a series of plastic drum pumps.

Three models are available in this Versa-Matic series, which is highly recommended for transferring liquids from a 55-gallon drum and portable totes.

The pump is ready to install and use right on delivery, with no required assembly. Advantageous features include its lightweight construction, portability, high chemical resistance, and on/off reliability; in addition, the unit is non-freezing and non-stalling.

Among the technical specifications of these plastic drum pumps: maximum flow of 53 litres per minute; maximum suction lift of 12 inches (dry) or 30 inches (wet); displacement of eight per cent of a litre per stroke; downward bottom suction; side, vertical, and horizontal top discharge; polypropylene wetted and centre sections; diaphragm, check ball, and check valve seat made of Buna-N, PTFE, and santoprene; and bolted construction.

York Fluid Controls carries six models of E5 plastic drum pumps, as well as kits that provide complete repair solutions for the wet and air ends of the pumps, to protect the user’s investment and boost uptime. Each of these models is non-metallic and has a port size of ½ an inch NPT, a maximum inlet pressure of 100 pounds per square inch (psi), and a regulating pressure range from zero to 100 psi. Pumps are available in a variety of different materials to virtually pump any fluid from a drum.
