Northern Industrial Supply Co. (NISCO) now offers piping expansion joints from HOLZ Rubber Company. Designed for use with piping systems, the lineup includes joints for every scenario and environment, from applications with heavy noise and vibration to those exposed to corrosion.

Elastomer piping expansion joint

The Series 300 elastomer piping expansion joint is hand-crafted and designed to absorb motion and displacement between pipe flanges for high shock and vibration situations. With an H-R double-protected construction using the finest materials, these joints can be used in temperatures up to 149 degrees C (300 degrees F) and help to prevent pipe buckling or fracture. Ideal applications include wastewater, slurry and sludge.

Pressure piping expansion joint

The Series 320 pressure piping expansion joint employs tire industry technology. The use of polyester tire cord and the modified arch construction provides greater overall performance than previous designs. These joints are recommended for high flow velocity and high abrasion conditions because they offer increased strength, flexibility and safety compared to traditional hand-built expansion joints. They are ideal for use in applications exposed to chemicals, petroleum, sewage, sludge, slurry, wastewater and other gaseous and abrasive media.

Lightweight piping expansion joint

The Series 320EZ is a lightweight piping expansion joint introduced specifically for FRP piping. These joints feature an advanced design that offers the lowest spring rates in the industry, which makes them an excellent choice for compression, extension, lateral, angular deflection and torsional movements. Two versions are available — one with a Nitrile tube and a Neoprene cover, and another with an EPDM tube and an EPDM cover.

Moulded piping expansion joints

These moulded expansion joints feature a polyester tire cord and modified arch construction. Available in Nitrile, EPDM and Teflon-lined versions, they are recommended for use in temperatures up to 149 degrees C (300 degrees F).

Floating flange rubber expansion joints

These highly versatile engineered expansion joints are suitable for most high pressure, vacuum, corrosive and/or vibration situations. They can operate in temperatures ranging from -10 to 135 degrees C (14 to 275 degrees F).

Vibration dampener expansion joints

These joints are designed to reduce vibration and noise with non-metallic vibration dampeners in connecting pumps, compressors and other operating equipment. They are ideal for use on the discharge and suction side of pumps where turbulence is an issue, and have the capability to compensate for movement and abate noise in severe corrosive environments.
