Durham Instruments carries various types of accelerometers from different sources.

Among its unparalleled lineup of test and measurement solutions, Durham Instruments offers more than a dozen categories of accelerometers. These devices are used to capture vibration data from test articles under various dynamic load cases, in common applications such as drop testing, material-properties investigation, or monitoring blast and high-shock events. One product family with plenty of options available is a series of TE Connectivity and Brüel & Kjær CCLD, piezoresistive, and piezoelectric accelerometers.

Miniature and triaxial models available

Through the use of the appropriate accelerometer technology, users can conduct a wide variety of applications, from machine and structural monitoring to various modal-analysis systems. This particular lineup of solutions includes nearly 70 models made by Brüel & Kjær. Among the examples are instruments designed for modal analysis, structural analysis, general-purpose vibration sensing, measurements on lightweight structures, flight-test applications, small or confined spaces, and continuous high-temperature operation.

The Brüel & Kjær portfolio includes dozens of CCLD accelerometers, such as miniature models and triaxial models. Some of these are also piezoelectric accelerometers. For instance, Durham Instruments carries versions with or without cables, with side connectors or top connectors, with slots, and in teardrop shapes, while a few devices have tapped holes or adhesive mounts. Piezoelectric accelerometers by Brüel & Kjær include many devices built for modal analysis, plus a couple for structural analysis. Others are recommended for low-level measurement or vibration measurement in challenging environments.

TE manufactures numerous models of CCLD accelerometers, some of which offer high performance, some with a triaxial design, and a few for isolated high temperatures. These units come in a wide range of shapes and dynamic ranges. The options available include a triaxial seat-pad accelerometer, a miniature high-performance version for high-frequency shock and vibration measurements, stud-mounted models, instruments for modal analysis, and models with internal shielding. There are a total of 23 TE accelerometers available in this main category.

Durham Instruments offers other categories of accelerometers for other customer needs. These include charge-mode, crash-test, digital, force-balanced, MEMS, specialty, angular, board-level, and cable accelerometers. Mounting accessories are also available, plus other accelerometer types.
