Firing Industries carries the full piab lineup.

Firing Industries Ltd. is Canada’s source for processing equipment by piab, including a wide selection of vacuum conveyors. This Tuesday, Sept. 26, piab is sponsoring a special live webinar by Brian Wilson, area sales manager for piab USA Inc.’s Vacuum Conveying Group, about vacuum conveying as an alternative solution for material transfer.

Vacuum Conveying’s Problem-Solving Role for Efficient Powder, Granule, and Tablet Transfer is presented by piab online at 1 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).

Overall reduction of cross-contamination risks

Wilson’s hour-long presentation will examine common transfer methods for powder, granules, tablets, and small parts in production lines and the issues that facilities experience with each method, while endorsing vacuum conveying as a better option. The webinar will also cover manufacturing process steps that businesses can automate with this method, from material pickup to primary processing, production, and packaging. piab vacuum conveyors from Firing Industries can boost overall productivity, performance, quality, flexibility, and safety.

Among the other things that viewers will learn from the webinar are the ergonomic and respiratory problems for workers that vacuum conveying can alleviate, and how vacuum conveying helps with overall reduction of cross-contamination risks.

Brian Wilson holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University. He has served the pharmaceutical, food-processing, ion-battery, additive, and chemical sectors with piab for more than two decades. His mission at piab is to develop, implement, and resolve production and ergonomic issues, while offering unique, hygienic, and cost-efficient solutions to businesses.

His experience with these customers includes innovative design for tablet handling, from loading presses with powder and unloading coating pans to filling sorting/counting equipment for final packaging.
