Pepperl+Fuchs is the world’s first panel manufacturer to pilot Intertek’s ETL Hazardous Locations Panel Program, which provides a streamlined approach to supplying ETL-certified, custom-made industrial control panels. The result is valuable time and resource savings for customers.

An expanded offering

Pepperl+Fuchs provides global certifications for its custom-engineered products, such as control and distribution panels, through its Solution Engineering Centres (SECs). But with the new ETL certification — proof of product compliance to North American safety standards covered by OSHA’s Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory program — Pepperl+Fuchs can now select, engineer and assemble all of the components inside its control panels into an integrated, turnkey solution without consideration of the underlying certifying agency of the individual sub-components. This allows more flexibility in component selection.

In addition, the offering expands Pepperl+Fuchs’ services, providing a competitive advantage as it saves customers from dealing with complicated, time-consuming third-party approvals and safety standard requirements.

“This will save our customers significant time and money, while providing them flexibility and the ability to choose the best components for the solution,” explains Kristen Barbour, the company’s product marketing manager.

A leading distributor

Pepperl+Fuchs products are available in sections of Canada through Process Instruments & Components. The Markham, Ont.-based company is an established industrial controls distributor that has been serving the local Canadian market for 25 years. Pepperl+Fuchs is just one of the leading manufacturers it represents.
