Pepperl+Fuchs builds all of its VisuNet HMI solutions with dedication to innovation and process safety. This group of desktop workstations and monitors ranges from network remote monitors to fully enclosed custom operator workstations. Each has been designed to comply with the standards of real-time process control, including globally certified units for Zones 1 and 2 and Divisions 1 and 2. Due to the unsurpassed range of communication technologies available, users can find a solution for any HMI visualization infrastructure.

Four models of VisuNet communications and data-transfer options are available from PIC:

  • PC (Monitor with Integrated PC) – An industrial-grade PC and monitor with full PC computing capabilities, operating as a standalone solution. Network-compatible or standalone options are available; so is low power consumption and heat generation with the Intel Atom, and the Intel Core 2 Duo and Core i7 offer high performance.
  • RM (Network-Based Remote Monitor) – This network monitor has a dedicated thin client and compatibility with standard Ethernet networking. The power-efficient Intel Atom processor supplies top performance, and options include Citrix ICA or Microsoft RDP or VNC protocols over Ethernet. With compressed data transfer, multiple RMs can connect to one server.
  • KM (Monitor with KVM Extender) – With this monitor, users can send keyboard, video, and touchscreen or mouse signals over long distances with a transmitter and receiver unit. Fibre-optic or CAT5. Up to 300 metres of distance between monitor and PC.
  • DM (Monitors) – Monitors for these desktop workstations are designed for reliability and durability in harsh environments. They connect directly to PCs. Widescreen formats range from ten to 22 inches. Built from industrial-grade components only. Touchscreen and transflective options available.
