Parker’s P1/PD controls: Powering precision with pump-monitoring mastery

Wainbee Limited supplies a full selection of Parker industrial solutions for Canadian industry, including the manufacturer’s P1/PD series of pumps. This pump line is enhanced with P1/PD electronic controls, which are powered by Graphical User Interface (GUI) software; GUI enables monitoring of settings, system status, pressure, speed, temperature, and other pump data. With this Wainbee solution, the pump can be integrated into a Mobile CANbus J1939 network.

Loading and using the GUI software is easy once the P1/PD electronic control is set up. The user can download the software from the Parker website to install it onto a desktop computer.

The GUI window onscreen should show multiple tabs for various views. For example, the Quick View tab displays four access levels (display, user, basic, advanced) while allowing monitoring of basic pump command and feedback, including displacement, pressure, preset speed, temperature, and calculated power.

The Pump Information tab lists numerous pump parameters, such as firmware part number and revision label, hardware part number and serial number, code number, and born dates. The System Status tab allows checks on displacement-sensor and pressure-sensor output, plus opens or shorts in circuitry. Other parameters one may monitor include tools, controller tuning, high-speed data logging, function-generator settings, and more. Users can also calibrate analog pump input commands and check on several displacement functions.

Used with Parker IQAN electronic controls allows to easily integrate the pump electronics and desired parameters adjustments on your vehicle.
