Parker’s DFplus valves with EtherCAT offer high speed and dynamics

The DFplus series has high dynamics that can be used within the fieldbus system, due to high data-transmission speed and short cycle times.

With factory-set valve parameters

Each of these valves with EtherCAT is actuated and monitored by the interface, and the actual valve (spool position), temperature, operating hours, and various error messages are available as diagnostic signals. The valves come with factory-set parameters that users can adapt to the Parker ProPxD software through the parametrizing interface.

DFplus valves offer the same range of functions as standard Parker proportional direction control valves do, on top of fieldbus communication. These features include analog command signal and diagnostic spare stroke. As a result, users can operate them independent of the fieldbus control, especially during commissioning and maintenance. Parker offers the EtherCAT option for several valve series, including the D1FP, D3FP, D30FP, D31FP, D41FP, D81FP, D91FP, and D111FP series. EtherCAT is also available for the TDP, TEP, and TPQ cartridge valves.

The EtherCAT interface offers high dynamics, a high flow capacity, onboard electronics, and a 2x M12x1 connector 4-Pin (EtherCAT In and EtherCAT Out). Among the technical data for the DFplus series of valves with EtherCAT:

• Duty ratio: 100 per cent;
• Protection class: IP65, in accordance with EN 60529;
• Supply voltage: 22… 30 volts, with electric shutoff at less than 19, ripple of less than five per cent eff., and no surge;
• Current maximum consumption: 3.5 A;
• Pre fusing: 4.0 A medium lag;
• Differential input: 30 volts for terminal D and E against PE (terminal G);
• Diagnostic signal: 10… -10 volts, 12.5 error detection, rated maximum five mA; and
• Wiring minimum: three x one square millimetre (AWG16) overall braid shield.
