stainless steel servo motors

Wainbee supplies Parker’s MPW series of stainless steel servo motors.

Businesses need reliable equipment when undertaking wash-down applications, and Wainbee Limited has exactly what they need. One example is Parker’s MPW series of stainless steel servo motors. These are perfect solutions for applications that require high-pressure, caustic wash-down in harsh environmental conditions like salt, fog, or humidity.

With their robust design, Parker recommends these servo motors for use in such industries as food processing, pharmaceuticals, and packaging.

Smaller size, longer lifespan

The MPW series of stainless steel servo motors has a compact yet powerful construction that allows smaller frame sizes to meet the needs of certain applications. The cylindrical housing is made of 300 series stainless steel, while the motors are sealing according to the IP69K standard and certified according to NSF169. The extra sealing and venting allows users to extend the motors’ operational life easily, up to twice as long as that of other motors. Parker has subjected MPW motors to water-intrusion tests and found no evidence of internal or external water damage.

Other key features of these stainless steel servo motors from Wainbee:

  • Antimicrobial seal with slinger. For prevention of intrusion of high-temperature solutions for wash-down for pressures of up to 1,200 pounds per square inch.
  • Single-piece front flange. Single-piece construction with a main housing body and no seam that could allow liquid intrusion.
  • Potted stator. Potted directing into the housing for a power-dense solution.
  • Segmented laminations. For a high torque-to-inertia ratio to support rapid acceleration rates.
  • Double O-ring seal. For sealing a rear motor plate to the main housing, offering twice the protection of a single O-ring design.
  • Breather vent. Allows the user to run a hose to a dry air location to prevent moisture from being sucked into the housing – a common failure in wash-down applications, due to a vacuum effect caused by pressure differentiation.
  • Cables. Running directly from the housing through IP69K sealed fittings, these cables are terminated with connectors to enable easy plug-and-play to popular Parker drives. For plug-and-play with drive solutions from other manufacturers, connector options are available.
