Wainbee carries the Parker P33 series.

Wainbee Limited is the key Canadian supplier of Parker industrial equipment, such as the unique P33 series of global redundant safety exhaust valves. Designed to remove trapped air from machinery safely, resulting in a safe state, this series is compatible with two-channel safety architecture up to Category 4, Performance Level e.

The distributor offers two styles of these Parker safety exhaust valves: internally and externally monitored. Both versions are available with an optional, adjustable soft start.

Monitored coverage for safe operation

The P33 series consists of 3/2 normally closed valves that exhaust compressed air quickly during fault conditions and provide monitored coverage for safe operation. External monitoring occurs through a two-channel system connected to a safety interface device, and high flow exhaust shuts down equipment more quickly when necessary. LEDs offer clear status of main solenoid operation, sensor power, and fault condition for fast visual reference.

With externally monitored valves, a PLC or relay conducts the monitoring, which offers a size and cost advantage over internal monitoring. A safety interface integrated into the PLC or relay determines the achievable category and performance level of the control system. Users provide the logic function through the safety device. The valve locks out to the safe state if its solid-state sensors detect asynchronous element movement. If the solid-state sensors are in different states for more than 150 milliseconds, the programming logic must shut off the power to the solenoids.

Parker does not recommended using these valves with clutch or brake applications; they are intended in conjunction with a safety relay or PLC. A single product does not provide a complete safe system, but is designed to work in conjunction with a full network.
