Wainbee Limited offers various industrial solutions by Parker Hannifin, including a wide selection of gearheads. The Generation II Stealth series of helical planetary gearheads provides higher radial load, longer service life, and easier mounting than competing, similar-sized planetary gearheads do, with design enhancements to work with challenging, high-performance tasks.

There are four models of Generation II Stealth helical planetary gearheads available from Parker: the PS and PX units, with in-line configuration, and the RS and RX versions, with right-angle configuration.

Dual angular contact bearings

The Generation II Stealth series incorporates dual angular contact bearings that offer higher radial-load capacities while maintaining high input speeds. Other design enhancements include full complement needle bearings that enable longer service life and extended warranties. Internal design changes and optimized gearing geometries allow for one oil-fill level for any orientation, which results in shortened part-number designation and simpler order placement.

Universal mounting kits provide common mounting kits across multiple product lines to promote faster delivery and easier mounting to any servo motor. Applications that need high precision or mid-range precision use the same mounting-kit part numbers within the same frame size. Other features and benefits of these gearheads from Wainbee:

• High torque and low backlash. Helical planetary gearing.
• High stiffness. Integral ring gear and rigid sun gear.
• Higher gear wear resistance. Plasma nitriding heat training.
• Optional flange mounting. Available only with the PX model, this enables easy installation. Customers are encouraged to contact the manufacturer for flange-mount availability for the RX model.

Of the four models in the series, the PS and RS offer high precision, while the PX and RX have medium precision. The RS gearhead works with a spiral bevel. All four have a frame size ranging from 60 to 115 millimetres. The nominal continuous torque for each unit is 27-230 newton metres (Nm) for the PS, 20-160 Nm for the PX, 13-220 Nm for the RS, and 10-136 Nm for the RX. The radial load is 1,650-7,500 newtons (N) for the PS, 1,550-6,800 N for the PX, 1,650-7,500 N for the RS, and 1,550-6,800 for the RX.
