ETL certified panels

Pepperl+Fuchs manufactures control panels that have ETL certification.

Process Instruments and Components Inc. (PIC) proudly supplies Pepperl+Fuchs equipment for hazardous work locations, and that includes the manufacturer’s control and distribution panels. What distinguishes Pepperl+Fuchs is that it was the first panel producer in the world to provide ETL certified panels.

Pepperl+Fuchs began piloting Intertek Group’s ETL Hazardous Locations Panel Program a few years ago. This program offers a streamlined approach to supplying custom-made control panels with ETL certification – resulting in time and resource savings for businesses.

Safety and benchmark performance testing

This unique certification comes from ETL SEMKO, formerly known as Electrical Testing Laboratory, which is an Intertek division specializing in electrical-product safety testing, EMC testing, and benchmark performance testing. In 1990, the division united with SEMKO, or Svenska Elektriska Materielkontrollanstalten, the body responsible for testing and certifying electric appliances in Sweden. Today, ETL SEMKO runs more than 30 offices and laboratories worldwide.

Pepperl+Fuchs offers global certifications for its custom-engineered products through its Solution Engineering Centres. With the help of ETL certification – which deems that a product complies with North American safety standards covered by the Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory program under the United States Occupational Safety and Health Administration – this manufacturer can select, engineer, and assemble all of the components in its control panels into an integrated, turnkey solution without needing to consider the underlying certifying agency of individual sub-components. This results in more flexibility in component selection for its ETL certified panels.

Another benefit of investing in ETL certified panels is an offering that expands Pepperl+Fuchs’ services, saving customers from dealing with complicated, time-consuming third-party approvals and safety-standard requirements. This saves users a lot of time and money as it provides flexibility and the capability of selecting the best components for the individual solution, giving Pepperl+Fuchs a serious competitive advantage.

Pepperl+Fuchs is a brand name to trust for top industrial solutions.
