• Broach machine rebuilding – Ohio Broach has the experience and skill necessary to take out-of-service machines and convert them into productive pieces of equipment. After tearing down a machine, company personnel clean and grind worn parts, including ram slides and guide blocks, or replace them when necessary. With its horizontal and vertical CNC milling centres and grinding machines, Ohio Broach can produce any parts required for broach machine rebuilding.
• Tool sharpening – Precision sharpening, reconditioning, and repairs of broach tools. Since broaching tools must be sharpened properly to achieve proper cutting, Ohio Broach can sharpen and recondition round broaches, keyways, surface broaches, and form broaches made of all kinds of high-speed steel. Depending on customer requirements, tool brazing, sharpening, straightening, and recoating are available, as are CNC regrinding and radius/face angle gauging.
• Production broaching – Ohio Broach’s staff offer in-house production contract broaching for businesses that do not have the need or room for their own broaching machines. These services include internal broaching, broaching of irregular shapes, blind spline broaching, and surface broaching – all with the company’s own machines.
• Design and engineering of broaching machines and tools – The Ohio Broach team does not limit its machine-designing capabilities to its own equipment. The company can also design and build machines for specific customer applications. Each of these custom-designed machines comes with a comprehensive operation and maintenance manual.
