HF model machines

The company’s machine models with an HF designation use a guide head that is fabricated from continuously welded and thermally stressed relieved steel. The alternative to this option is the company’s HC models, which have guide heads that are cast from close-grained, high-tensile iron. HF model machines are also bigger and have larger capacities than HC models. 

Machine features

Every machine from Ohio Broach is built to offer the stability and rigidity needed for precision broaching. To guide the machine pull head, these machines use hardened and ground alloy steel machine ways. The pull heads are equipped with precision ground wear pads, which are easy to replace when needed. Each pull head can be easily adjusted for vertical tool alignment.  

These machines also feature a programmable logic controller from Allen-Bradley that offers reliable and consistent machine regulation. Ohio Broach can program the controller in its factory to meet a customer’s specific needs.  

Specifications and more details

Ohio Broach machines are available in a range of sizes and capacities. HF models range from 10 to 35 tons in capacity, and from 66 to 90 inches in stroke length. Ohio Broach’s other horizontal machine models start at five-ton capacities with 20-inch strokes. The machine dimensions for HF models range from 239 to 307 inches in length (including the drip pan).
