A wide range of optional equipment for broaching machines is available from The Ohio Broach & Machine Company. From chip removal to hydraulic clamping systems, the company offers accessories for a variety of uses. 

Chip removal conveyors

All of the company’s broaching machines are designed to accept conveyors for the automatic removal of chips from the machine base. Two types of chip conveyors are available from Ohio Broach: a mechanical drag-link for non-ferrous materials, and a magnetic type for ferrous chips. Both conveyor types can be configured for either pit or floor-surface installations. Baffles and electrical tie-ins are included.

Operator platforms

Operator platforms are another optional piece of equipment that can be added to any of the company’s machine models. These platforms feature durable construction using structural tubing and heavy-duty grating. They are designed for floor-surface installation, and include a stairway and handrail.

Optional tables

A range of optional tables are available to be added to any heavy-duty machine from The Ohio Broach & Machine Company. They include tip back tables that allow more convenient loading and unloading of workpieces by tilting. Also available are infeed shuttle tables that permit repeated broach cuts by moving in and out on a horizontal plane, and platen-type tables with a large, unobstructed perimeter.

Power clamping equipment

Air-oil type power sources are available for fixture clamping. They include an electrical pressure switch and can be completely tied into the machine electrics. Hydraulic power sources are also available that can serve the additional function of powering automatic fixture movements.
