Broaching machine types

• Horizontal internal broaching machines are available with a complete range of tonnages, standard strokes and cutting speeds. They feature rapid return of the broach pull head to the starting position, and all of the pull heads are easy to adjust for vertical tool alignment. The guide head is designed for rigidity and stability, which ensures precise tool tracking.
• Dual ram and heavy-duty vertical broaching machines are available that feature hardened and ground steel ways, precision ram slide, and a pressurized individual-point lubrication system. Standard voltage for these machines is 220/240, three-phase, 60 Hz, though other voltages are available.
• RP/224 vertical surface broaching machines are available that are designed for secondary operations such as slots, flats, surface contours and more. These machines offer a compact design, two-ton capacity, and 24-inch stroke. They use solid-state Allen-Bradley programmable controls.
• Table-Up broaching machines are available that avoid the need for broaching pits and work platforms. These machines allow operators to load parts from floor level, resulting in greater productivity. Once parts are loaded, the machine lifts the workpieces to engage the broach tools. Table-up broaching machines can be supplied with a range of options, such as shuttle tables, multiple fixturing, coolant lubrication, auto load and unload, broach removal devices, and chip conveyors (either magnetic or mechanical).

Custom capabilities

Ohio Broach can also design and build special machines to suit unique customer requirements. They can include machine types such as vertical, horizontal, continuous, CNC shaper and pull down.
