In-house production broaching is available.

No other industrial manufacturer can offer the level of broaching capability that customers get regularly from The Ohio Broach & Machine Company. The organization’s service range includes broaching, constructing broaching equipment, engineering, and tool sharpening. Ohio Broach also provides in-house production broaching for clients whose facilities do not contain enough space for private broaching machines. This valuable service is in high demand, as it provides numerous competitive advantages and covers production sizes from long to short runs.

Virtually any shape possible

Ohio Broach provides any kind of high-quality broaching service that a customer may need through this service. The company has enough skill and experience in its field to broach virtually any shape that a client may request, since it has the ability to build the required tools and machinery for production broaching. Among the options from which clients may choose are gear forms, polygons, involute splines, plier forms, and irregular shapes. The staff also have what it takes to tackle internal broaching, blind spline broaching, and surface broaching.

A major benefit of in-house production broaching is that Ohio Broach provides access to its own state-of-the-art broaching equipment. The firm owns three types of vertical broaching machines, plus horizontal internal machines, a CNC shaper, and pull-down equipment. These machines provide stroke lengths that run from two to seven-and-a-half feet, as well as cutting forces that range from two to 35 tons. The CNC shaper can function at depths from ¼ of an inch to one-and-a-half inches, and it can work with pieces with diameters as long as ten inches.

The Ohio Broach team can broach almost any metal that a client requests, with aluminum, brass, copper, carbon steel, and stainless steel being the most common examples. These craftspeople can also broach wood composites, plastic, hard rubber, and graphite. Components for pliers, saw blades, transmission gears, and other objects are also possible.
