Wainbee carries Des-Case RMF offline units.

Des-Case manufactures great hydraulic solutions under the RMF Systems brand, available in Canada through Wainbee Limited. This includes the RMF line of off-line units, available in seven models, which prevent mechanical failures caused by contamination in hydraulic systems. These filters remove not only solid particles from oil, but also water.

These hydraulic power units clean and maintain hydraulic and lubrication systems in several industries, including the steel, plastic, maritime, petrochemical, and paper sectors.

Lower cost of ownership

Using RMF filters results in fewer defects, less maintenance, and less wear and tear in hydraulic components. Users can fit these off-line units to every imaginable application that involves hydraulic or lubrication systems, and they attack contamination of every system at the source. Among the benefits of these products from Wainbee:

  • lower cost of ownership
  • high filtration efficiency, resulting in extremely clean oil
  • prevention of channel forming with radial filtration direction
  • large dirt- and water-holding capacity
  • easy, compact maintenance design
  • longer lifespans for oil and components

The principle of RMF off-line units is based on the unique, original filter elements. They remove even the smallest dirt particles from oil, with a choice of filter fineness as low as ½ a micron and filter efficiency of up to a β4 of ten. A broad range of elements is available in various micron sizes, filter media, and liquid compatibility. The spectrum is complemented by water and solid particle retention.

RMF water-absorbing filters use a special water-absorbing spin-on as pre-filters. First, liquid is pumped through the pre-filter, which removes most water and larger solid contamination; next, the fluid passes through the cellulose micro filter, in which water and solid particles are removed.

A unique progression of this series, heated off-line units warm oil in a specific way, allowing the viscosity to decrease to a level that permits fine filtration without exposing the oil to high temperatures that could cause overheating and burning of the oil. Filtration of high-viscosity oils is nearly impossible for fine filters, since the thickness of these oils block most standard filters, making the heated models necessary substitutes.

The OLUS series of smart off-line units allows machine operators to keep hydraulic oil clean while also monitoring contamination levels in real time. The user can combine the integrated Condition Monitoring Sensor with any product in the full RMF range of off-line units.
