ODE microregulator valve is ideal for medical oxygen and ventilators

Many manufacturers are changing their priorities over the short term to adapt to the COVID-19 pandemic. Healthcare equipment is especially important right now, including ventilators and oxygen equipment. ODE Valve Canada is doing its part by supplying the Vesta MR Series INOX-OX microregulator valve. Sized from 1/8 to ¼ of an inch, this valve is ideally suited for ventilators – and for use with medical oxygen, when paired with  1/8″ NPT and  ¼” NPT connections.

With a two-way body

The MR Series INOX-OX microregulator valve is a high-performance regulator that has been designed for pressure regulation of neutral gases. Among the connections usable with this unit for medical oxygen applications are ¼-inch NPT and six-millimetre tube connections. Other features and specifications for this product:

• Fluid: compressed air, oxygen, or neutral gases;
• Balanced valve;
• No relieving function;
• Pressure range of 0-1, 0-2, 0-4, 0-8, or 0-12½ Bar;
• Maximum ambient temperature of 50 degrees Celsius at ten Bar;
• Maximum torque inserts 1/8: IN-OUT 20 N.m;
• Air Reference flow rate of 450 Nl per minute (at a pressure of 6.3 Bar or Dp of one Bar); and
• Weight: 100 grams.

This microregulator valve also features a two-way body with inlet and outlet ports only, to prevent leaks from any unused connections.

Components of the Vesta MR Series INOX-OX valve include a diaphragm pin, valve spring, and inserts, all of which are made from 316 stainless steel, as is the general valve body. The microregulator also has an O-ring plug and O-ring valve, both made from EPDM, and a diaphragm made from EPDM and nylon, plus a sealing valve, regulator body, and plug. All these components except for the stainless steel ones are certified for use in the food-processing industry too.
