Several types of accessories are available.

For more than 35 years and counting, Norpak Handling Ltd. has kept Canadian businesses competitive with its wide range of material-handling solutions, especially conveyor systems. The distributor also offers a broad variety of conveyor accessories, all of which play some part in optimizing the material-handling process in manufacturing plants and warehouses.

Clients can customize their conveyor systems to provide specific functions, and make sure their business operations are as efficient and productive as possible, by selecting the right conveyor accessories.

Accommodate unique requests and measurements

These accessories can boost productivity, add specific functions, and help curb common issues like line jams when customers use them correctly. The Norpak team can recommend certain accessories for customized solutions that can accommodate unique operation requests or measurements. Norpak offers the following conveyor accessories:

  • ARB mergers. These units help to curb slowdowns and line jams while increasing the circulation of conveyor lines. Mergers are ideal for accumulation conveyors and can smoothly merge multiple lanes into one, with no product damage or further jams.
  • ARB switches. Also known as Activated Roller Belt switches, these accessories divert items from one or multiple in-feed lines to multiple out-feed lines. ARB switches can handle up to 50 products a minute, of different sizes and weights.
  • Diverters. Automatic accessories that move items from one line to an adjacent one, with gentle operation to prevent product damage. Can be used in accumulating conveyors.
  • O-ring transfers. For transporting items onto parallel and adjacent lines. O-ring transfers can grip onto the item and use linear bearings to raise and lower it. Norpak provides models that can handle loads of up to 75 pounds in weights.
  • Pushers. Perfect for any conveyors that use sortation. Pushers can help to move items to reject or inspect stations while still on the line, so that there is no interruption to the conveyor’s flow.
  • Y-switches. Used to divert items from one line to another, typically at curves measuring 45 or 90 degrees. Y-switches can be either pneumatic or manually operated, and customers can also install guard rails to enhance security and stability.
