Diverters, mergers, and more

Types of conveyor system accessories available include the following:

• Y-switches. These accessories divert and converge products between conveyor lines. They are Y-shaped sections send products on one line in a normal flow and on another when the transfer mechanism is raised.
• Traffic cops. Used for controlling product flow between conveyors. Traffic cops prevent collisions and disruptions by allowing products from one line to pass freely while stopping interference from a converging line.
• Light-duty pushers. Also known as LD pushers, these Hytrol accessories easily mount to the sides of many conveyor models. Ideal for reject or inspection stations, they push lightweight items of conveyor lines at a right angle to the product flow in an economical way.
• Diverters. Hytrol’s Powered Pivot Diverters can automatically divert items onto adjacent 30-degree spur lines on accumulating conveyors. They each have two rows of wheels with urethane treads driven by urethane belts.
• O-ring transfers. These system accessories move items to adjacent or parallel conveyor lines, using airbag actuators to lift transfer mechanisms and powered O-rings to transfer products.
• Merges. Intralox ARB merges are ideal for merging products reliably without changeovers.
• Switches. Can handle multiple infeeds to multiple outfeeds and centre and side infeeds; also switches items to the side with varied feed positions.
