Parcel conveyors are available from Norpak.

Among the many great material-handling solutions available from Norpak Handling Ltd. are parcel conveyors. These conveyors have a unique role in the industry. Most posts and parcels are transferred from source locations to parcel-processing facilities before getting shipped, so companies rely heavily on parcel conveyors because of the growing demand to process large volumes quickly and efficiently. These conveyors provide state-of-the-art solutions for this application in both ground- and air-based delivery services.

Can handle any volume

Parcel conveyors offer constant material-handling capability, high production throughput, the ability to handle versatile packages regardless of weight and size, precise automation with room for manual sorting, high durability, ability to handle any volume, and adjustable speeds, depending on the workload. The range of parcel conveyors can easily tackle challenging workloads.

Belts are a fundamental aspect of parcel conveyors, and Hytrol manufactures some of the highest-quality parcel-conveyor belts in the industrial market, all available from Norpak. Hytrol parcel belts provide a robust, modular design that accommodates fast repairs.

The Hytrol HSS belt is designed for singulated flow, which is a configuration in which parcels come in single file and uniform spacing. It can easily handle heavy weights with no stretching or tearing. Features of the HSS include an 8-5/8-inch drive pulley with a through shaft, a speed range from 250 to 600 feet per minute (FPM), and the ability to handle a maximum weight of 35 pounds per linear foot.

The HSS-HD is built for semi-bulk operations and to take more load per linear foot than the HSS can; it also provides better speed control and parcel-handling capability. Among the HSS-HD features are a maximum belt length of 150 feet, speed range from 50 to 600 FPM, and the ability to handle a maximum weight of 50 pounds per linear foot.

Finally, the BPC is a bulk-operations belt for processing parcels en masse, with a versatile centre and end-drive operation. This belt can accelerate up to 550 FPM and has spherical, cast iron, pre-lubricated roller bearings to minmize belt friction, plus a robust formed steel bed with customizable dimensions.
