Two styles of NK models available from Mod-Tronic

Mod-Tronic Instruments Ltd. is the top Canadian source of current-sensing solutions by NK Technologies. The manufacturer has developed more than 1,300 models of current switches, transformers, ground-fault detectors, voltage transducers, power monitors, and signal converters for decades. The lineup also includes various NK current transducers and transmitters.

With quick shipment across the country, Mod-Tronic helps customers to find the NK transducers or transmitters that suit their individual needs.

Unsurpassed range of styles, variations

Both AC and DC input current transducers and transmitters are available through Mod-Tronic, in an unsurpassed range of styles and variations and analogue outputs of 4-20mA, 0-5VDC, and 0-10VDC. Users can send analogue current readings to PLCs, data loggers, and panel meters. The transducers offer average responding or True RMS outputs, and there are solid- and split-core designs in self-powered or external powered versions for easy installation. Each model complies with the RoHS2 safety standard and comes with a five-year warranty.

The NK line of AC input current transducers and transmitters enable monitoring of AC current loads to detect under-load or overload conditions, and input ranges from one to 2,000 Amps. Self-powered, low-voltage AC/DC and 120VAC power options are available. Mod-Tronic carries more than 20 AC models – ten average-responding devices and 11 True RMS devices.

Sensing aperture size for the average-responding models ranges from 0.55 of an inch to 3.42 inches in diameter, while response time runs from 100 to 600 milliseconds, and various types of power supply and standards approvals are available. Among the RMS models, sensing aperture size goes from 0.74 of an inch to 17¼ inches in diameter, with response times from 100 to 600 milliseconds as well.

NK also manufactures DC input current transducers and transmitters, with which users can monitor current DC loads to detect under-load or overload conditions. The input of these models ranges from one to 1,200 Amps, and customers can select from loop-powered or low-voltage AC/DC and 120VAC power options. Mod-Tronic carries eight DC models, with sensing aperture sizes from 0.55 to 1.81 inches and response time from 20 to 500 milliseconds.
