Versa-Matic makes its air-operated double-diaphragm (AODD) pumps accessible to Canadian businesses through York Fluid Controls Ltd. The newest member of the Versa-Matic family is the Valor one-inch pump, notable for high flexibility, low air consumption, simple design, and easy, inexpensive maintenance, as well as the highest flow rate available.

Built robustly for dependable performance, this Versa-Matic solution has an innovative centre section that makes it easier to meet pumping challenges.

Better stability and sustainability

The Valor is perfect for pump users across many applications and industries. Its simplified, durable construction enables easy maintenance and minimal downtime: it has an easy-to-service combined main air valve and pilot valve, a feature that offers higher stability during maintenance, identical wet side bolts, and a five-minute average air side service time, as opposed to at least 45 minutes for competing AODD units. Torquing the plates and diaphragm together before assembly simplifies maintenance.

This pump is durable enough for most pumping tasks and designed with interchangeable parts. Among the options users get are end or centre porting, dual porting, and feet that can be re-positioned to match the competition. The Valor from York Fluid Controls offers better stability, sustainability, safety, and flow rates; among its robust features are the highest gpm-to-SCFM ratio on the market, longer ball and diaphragm life than previous models had, a greater flow rate than that of any other one-inch AODD pump, and capability of 125-psi operation.

New sizes – 1½, two, and three inches – are coming soon to incorporate the new modular centre section. Other specifications: flow rate adjustable to 238 litres per minute; port size of one inch ANSI/DIN flange; ¾-inch NPT air inlet; one-inch NPT air exhaust; suction lift of 5.8 (dry) or 9½ (wet) metres; maximum solid size of size millimetres in diameter; maximum noise level of 84 decibels; and shipping weight of 11.3 (polypropylene), 19 (PVDF), or 12.7 (conductive poly) kilograms.
