Endress+Hauser Canada Ltd. recently launched a new line of instruments that is set to redefine how businesses conduct process gas measurement. The Proline Prosonic Flow G 300/500 ultrasonic flowmeters are extremely robust, with optional integrated pressure and temperature sensors for highly accurate, real-time values even in very challenging work environments.
Designed to measure natural gas, process gas, or gas mixtures, either onshore or offshore, the Prosonic Flow G group comes with a proven ultrasonic flow-measuring technology.
New options for process control
This technology guarantees exact measured values, accurate within only ½ a per cent, with unsurpassed repeatability, even when process and ambient conditions fluctuate significantly. Decades of use in the chemical and oil and gas sectors attest to this technology’s reliability.
Proline Prosonic Flow G ultrasonic flowmeters deliver high accuracy in process temperatures of up to 150 degrees Celsius and pressures up to 1,450 pounds per square inch. The robust construction with high-grade stainless steel for all wetted parts and the whole sensor body results in high corrosion resistance, leading to long operational life without maintenance. The innovative sensor concept comes with a special drainage system that instantly dissipates any condensate forming in the sensor pocket area, ensuring reliable measurement with no signal-quality degradation.
By blending these features with extensive functionality, Endress+Hauser has enabled new options for process control and monitoring in these transmitters. With the optional built-in temperature and pressure sensors, these flowmeters can combine these sensors’ input with the measured sound velocity to calculate many additional gas properties that are essential to process control. Customers can request an “Extended Gas Analysis” function package with the Prosonic Flow G 300/500 for special applications or increased process-control needs. This allows the calculation of additional parameters and process variables such as volume flow, corrected volume flow, mass flow, energy flow, and many others, depending on the selected gas type.
Users can also combine these ultrasonic flowmeters with two other Proline transmitters – as a compact version with Proline 300, or as a remote version with Proline 500, with as many as four inputs and outputs.
