The Cleco torque analyzer

Cleco Tools products are available in Canada through Dobco Equipment Ltd. The manufacturer is known for its portfolio of assembly tools, but it also offers numerous accessories to work with them – and the newest member of this family is a unique torque analyzer, which has been designed for verifying torque settings on the Cleco CellClutch nut runner, quickly and accurately. Easy to operate, this tool comes in four distinct models.

With a built-in torque transducer

Customers get three primary advantages by using the torque analyzer over similar ones by competitors: speed; flexibility; and versatility. This instrument includes a built-in torque transducer that provides fast and accurate torque readout on the easy-to-read white OLED screen. In addition, the torque analyzer is powered by either a power cord or a battery, which makes it more flexible. In terms of versatility, a rundown adapter is provided to simulate real-world tightening, and it can be used to verify torque on all Cleco tightening solutions.

Among the other features of the Cleco torque analyzer are a rundown adapter socket, LEDs, function soft keys, an “accept” key, directional arrow keys, and a power button. The button is an easy way to turn the instrument on or off; turning it on calls up a splash screem, which changes to display the device serial number and calibration due date. The software version and keyboard version are also both indicated by TM and KB respectively.

The device automatically selects the last used measurement mode first (Peak, Click, Track, or Pulse) and the user can change this by pressing the Measurement Mode key. To toggle measurement modes, press the function key until the device displays the required mode, and the analyzer is now ready to start measuring torque.

Dobco carries four models: the CTA0414 (0.4 to four newton metres, or Nm); the CTA3038 (three to 30 Nm), the CST 6838 (68 Nm, stationary); and the CJK38.
