The latest addition to the SmartLine transmitter family is the STT700 Temperature Transmitter, an innovative update of the acclaimed and popular STT250.

New functions

The STT700 acts as a replacement for the STT250, a compact transmitter with a dual input model enabling advanced diagnostics and a redundant sensor. The STT250, which has been a standard instrument in temperature applications for many years, is fitted with universal sensor inputs and capable of remote communications, with a wide selection of housing and material.

The new STT700 builds upon these features with its own unique benefits:

• A SmartLine platform with SmartLine Connection Advantage when used with Experion;
• A single input that supports an RTD sensor connection of up to four wires;
• A dual-input option for up to two three-wire RTD sensor connections;
• A Callendar-Van Dusen sensor constants input;
• HART7 and DE communications;
• Transmitter and sensor diagnostics; and
• Several mounting options, including head, panel, and DIN rail mounting.

The STT700 measures temperatures with a digital accuracy of within 0.15 degrees Celsius for RTD applications. It is fully compliant with the SIL 2/3 requirement and is guaranteed for up to four years of operation.
