Static elimination is a function commonly in demand in manufacturing, as the consequences of static can range from product damage to employee injury. That is why EXAIR Corporation makes products that stop static – and its latest development is the Gen4 Super Ion Air Wipe static eliminator.

What makes this static eliminator stand out is that it creates a uniform, 360-degree air stream that clamps around a continuously moving part, removing more static electricity and contaminants.

Meets rigorous safety standards

The Gen4 Super Ion Air Wipe is highly recommended for removing dust, particulates, and personnel shocks on pipes, cables, extruded shapes, hoses, wires, and other irregularly shaped objects. This newly engineered product has undergone independent laboratory tests to ensure that it complies with the strict international health, safety, and environmental standards, including those of UL in the United States and CE and RoHS in Europe.

An upgrade on previous EXAIR Gen4 static eliminators, this product has new design features, such as a metal armoured high-voltage cable for protection against abrasion and cuts, plus a replaceable emitter point, an integrated ground connection, and electromagnetic shielding. It uses a small volume of compressed air to entrain large amounts of room air, while a UL Component-Recognized five-kilovolt supply powers two shock-free ionizing points that fill the air stream with static-eliminating ions. The airflow attaches itself to the surface of the material running through the air wipe, neutralizing the charge.

The Gen4 Super Ion Air Wipe static eliminator also has an aluminum construction that is lightweight and easy to mount with the tapped holes provided. It also has no moving parts to wear out. EXAIR offers two sizes of this device, with a diameter of either 51 or 102 millimetres. An optional pressure regulator enables limitless control of air volume and velocity.
