Mike Whitehead is the new president of Lincoln Electric Canada, effective January 1, 2015. 

The company announced at the end of last year that Joseph G. Doria would retire as president and CEO of Lincoln Electric Canada on December 31, 2014.

Doria has served as a corporate vice-president and officer of Lincoln Electric Holdings, Inc., and has held the position of president and CEO of Lincoln Electric Canada and Indalco since 2002. He joined Lincoln Electric 42 years ago as a technical sales representative and has held various positions throughout his tenure in North America and Europe.

 

“Joe has made a tremendous impact throughout his career at Lincoln Electric,” stated George D. Blankenship, executive vice-president and president, Lincoln Electric North America. “He has demonstrated strong leadership, has been instrumental in shaping Lincoln’s strategy and success in key regions, and has had relentless energy and dedication in promoting Lincoln Electric’s culture and values across our industry. We thank him for his extensive service.”

 

Mike Whitehead joined Lincoln Electric in 2005 as chief counsel, intellectual property, and has served as director, new product development in consumables R&D since 2011. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Ohio State University and a Juris Doctor degree from New Hampshire University School of Law. Whitehead also completed the Advanced Executive Program at Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
