The new Liquiline Mobile CML18 handheld monitoring device from Endress+Hauser, shown here with the new Memosens CPL51E pH sensor attached, provides equally fast, accurate measuring data in both the laboratory or process environment.

Endress+Hauser Canada Ltd. introduces the Liquiline Mobile CML18 monitoring device: an extremely compact, multi-parameter measuring instrument that fits right into the user’s shirt pocket. This unit offers equally quick and accurate monitoring of measured values in laboratory or process environments by using certain Memosens sensors, including the new CPL51E for pH measurement.

A smart, battery-powered handheld device, the CML18 has a small size that makes it convenient to carry and hold.

Complete consistency of data

This monitoring device offers accurate, reliable measurement of pH/ORP, temperature, conductivity, and dissolved oxygen in virtually any scenario. This ensures complete consistency of data between the lab and the field, so users no longer have to reconcile readout mismatches when using different measurement technologies in two locations; one device works for both tasks.

It takes mere seconds to connect compatible Memosens sensors to the CML18. The monitoring device instantly identifies the sensor type through inductive coupling, automatically loads the saved sensor information, and displays the right measured value. Using the two buttons on the instrument, the user can navigate through measurement screens and initiate measurements. The CPL51E is the first Memosens sensor that is optimally paired with the CML18 for both field and lab measurement. This laboratory-rated sensor is usable right out of the box, with no extra settings required.

The CML18 also works for monitoring a process over an extended period. The data-logger function can store more than 10,000 measured values, each with a date and a time stamp. The instrument can even charge while it is in the process of logging extended measurement values, and its integrated, wireless charging function allows inductive charging with a Qi-certified charger that one can order with the device.

Users can get access to even more functions and data by employing the intuitive Endress+Hauser SmartBlue app on a Smartphone or tablet in conjunction with the CML18. This transfers all measured values and sensor information between app and device through a secure Bluetooth connection. SmartBlue offers a convenient means of making settings, adjusting the device, reading out sensor and measured values, and calibrating sensors.
