The new Fusion integrated plate diaphragm has a unique design, offering improved performance. The unit has a smooth, sanitary design, and features deflection ridges to ward off flex points and eliminate radial “wagon wheel” cracking. It also has an exclusive concave shape to provide excellent service life, suction lift and lower startup pressure. In addition, the unit’s oversized integrated plate supports nearly 50 per cent of the diaphragm through the entire dynamic motion stroke, while its backing ribs sustain and guide the diaphragm’s flex for extended life and reduced cavitation on suction stroke. The plate also features a “spin-on, spin-off” design, enabling users to simply hand tighten or loosen it without any torque spec required. Additional advantages of this design include greater displacement per stroke, and the elimination of leak paths.
