The new EXAIR 3/8 NPT HollowStream liquid-atomizing spray nozzle

EXAIR Corporation is the source that businesses across North America count on for the peak of innovation in industrial compressed-air equipment. The manufacturer’s portfolio is unsurpassed by any of its competitors, and it continues to expand as the EXAIR team develops new innovations to make its products even better.

For example, the company has just launched a new 3/8 NPT HollowStream liquid-atomizing spray nozzle for cooling, washing, and other common applications.

A vaneless tangential flow design

Similar to its ¼ NPT counterpart, the new 3/8 NPT unit offers a hollow cone spray pattern for pressurized fluids, which is ideal for resolving cooling, cleaning, foam-breaking, rinsing, and dust-suppression tasks in industrial environments. This liquid-atomizing nozzle has a vaneless tangential flow design, with wide-open internal features designed to resist clogging, and it works particularly well with liquids that contain particulate. Each of these liquid nozzles produces a uniform distribution of fluid in a ring pattern with droplets ranging from medium to large in size. The compact right-angle design is built to fit into small and hard-to-reach areas, and the liquid operating pressure is adjustable up to 250 pounds per square inch.

With the HollowStream brand of nozzle, the user supplies the liquid into the nozzle’s body to create a swirling action within a vortex chamber. The vortex produces the aforementioned hollow cone spray pattern when the precision nozzle breaks the liquid surface tension as it exits the orifice and into a controlled spray angle – resulting in a circular ring spray pattern.

These new liquid-atomizing nozzles have high durability and corrosion resistance due to their stainless steel construction. Available in a variety of flow rates, they comply with the strict safety requirements of the European CE standard. EXAIR also offers a wide line of 1/8, ¼, 3/8, and ½ NPT liquid nozzles, which also come in a variety of liquid patterns and flow rates.

Based in Cincinnati, EXAIR Corporation has designed, manufactured, and supplied industrial compressed-air solutions since its founding in 1983. Other products available from the company include static eliminators, cabinet coolers, air guns, air amplifiers, and many other options.
