New drum cover by EXAIR keeps contaminants out of material

The new EXAIR Model 6850 drum cover

Moving large volumes of industrial material over long distances is now easier with the EXAIR Line Vac, a powerful inline conveyor that connects to standard hoses or tubes. Now, EXAIR Corporation has introduced a fine mesh non-woven drum cover to use with the Line Vac. This cover is designed to keep bulk material contained and free of all contaminants, and it is manufactured for use on drums of 55 or 30 gallons.

A cleaner and safer environment

This new Model 6850 drum cover prevents contamination of material while keeping it contained inside the drum, resulting in a cleaner and safer work environment. The breathable material enables the air from the Line Vac air-operated conveyor to circulate, whether it is moving material in or out of the drum.

Because the Model 6850 is designed for two different sizes of drums, it is a simple solution for businesses that require containment vessels for their transferred scrap, trim waste, parts, chips, and pellets. This drum cover can also fit hoses with outer diameters ranging from 19.1 to 86.4 millimetres (mm).

The EXAIR Line Vac conveyor is an inexpensive means of transporting complex shapes, bulk solids, and waste without using any moving parts or electric power. Each unit ejects a small volume of compressed air in order to produce a vacuum on one end and high output flows on the other with an instant response. The user can control the air speed easily just by regulating the inlet air pressure.

Available in aluminum and hardened alloy, as well as Types 303 and 316 stainless steel, the Line Vac can resist abrasion in sizes from ten to 127 mm. It is available in several different styles, including one for use with hoses, threaded NPT for pipes, and a sanitary flange design for use with flanged pipes.

The Model 6850 drum cover comes with hose clamps and a durable spring buckle strap that makes installation quicker and easier. The cover is priced at US$83.
