New Customer Experience Centre opens for Endress+Hauser in Burlington, Ont.

The new Endress+Hauser Customer Experience Centre is now functional.

Endress+Hauser Canada Ltd. is excited to announce that its staff have moved into the company’s new Customer Experience Centre, located in Burlington, Ont. This new $28 million, two-storey, 47,000-square-foot platform will showcase the best in process automation through instrumentation technology. The Centre is a state-of-the-art support and training hub that offers a hands-on feel for new innovations to customers, to help them choose the most appropriate solutions for their individual requirements.

With full-service calibration lab

The company has devoted every effort into creating a stellar worker and customer experience while operating on a net zero energy and carbon basis. Following an official inauguration in the spring, this Customer Experience Centre will serve clients from Manitoba to Newfoundland. Among its features are a state-of-the-art Process Training Unit, or PTU, and a full-service calibration laboratory that can handle all flow, temperature, pressure, or fluid-analysis instruments. The PTU, Endress+Hauser’s second in Canada, is a full-sized pilot plant with many company products installed and operational.

The new facility was designed according to very strict environmental standards: it generates its own electricity, heat, and cooling and has a reflective roof with double-sided solar panels to generate green power in daytime. At night, Endress+Hauser personnel will shut off video monitors and most other electrically powered systems, and heat pumps supplemented by a geothermal system will maintain the building environment.

The Centre will also house the company’s local sales, service, and administration department, with nearly twice the floor space of the previous location. Employee comfort and well-being was a high priority during the project design and development. The new building houses two cafes, a fully equipped health and fitness room, a wellness room, a multi-faith prayer room, an atrium with a live tree, and an outdoor terrace.

Anthony Varga, the general manager of Endress+Hauser Canada, credits the enthusiastic support of the senior management of the parent company for the successful development of the Customer Experience Centre. “At the outset, they urged us to be bold, to create something special for all of our stakeholders that would reflect the company’s values,” he said.
