Harting keeps its customers’ bottom lines in mind when it launches new products, only bringing items to market that have the capability to save users time and money. Its Han ES Press connector is no exception. The product is based on a cage clamp terminal design, and enables rapid tool-less installation, as well as contact bridging with prefabricated jumpers.

How it works

The Han ES Press sets itself apart from other implementations of this type of termination technology. Its cage clamp terminal is delivered pre-loaded, which means the user just needs to move an actuator into the contact chamber to close the cage clamp terminal around the conductor again. The result is a reliable connection with high tensile strength and resistance to vibration. No force is required by the user to insert the conductor into the contact chamber thanks to the pre-loading of the cage clamp terminal.

Ideal applications

The Han ES Press is ideal for the termination of conductors with or without ferrules. And, because of the jumper bridges that can be plugged onto the insulation body, the contact insert provides the user with options for potential multiplication and the deployment of star or delta circuits for motor control.

Additional details

The Han ES Press is available in versions for housing sizes Han 6 B, 10 B, 16 B and 24 B. All variants are compatible with the other inserts in the Han E, ES and ESS Series.
