HARTING Canada introduces its latest connectivity innovation: the Han L32 B. This unique connecting solution enables replacement of two Size 16 B interfaces, which saves more than 40 per cent of installation space. This way, users can transmit power, signals, and information with fewer interfaces and fewer components while also reducing the time needed to assemble interfaces. This lower weight is an advantage in robotics and many other applications. The Han L32 B stands for sustainable product design by contributing to reduced consumption.
With higher module density
The user can fill space in the Han L32 B housing with a Han E insulator for 32 contacts or with Han-Modular articulated frame that can accommodate up to eight modules. So the new size offers space for the articulated frame with the most module slots, but also leads to the highest module density in a connector. More than 100 Han-Modular modules allows the user to put the optimal interface together for almost any task.
The format of this connecting solution provides numerous housing variants. The user can combine sleeve housings with a straight or lateral cable outlet with bulkhead-mounted housings, bulkhead socket housings, or coupling housings – with a choice between Han-Easy Lock transverse brackets and metal side brackets. HARTING offers matching cable glands in three different sizes (M40, M50, and Pg29), and each of the housings comes with a cap that protects the mounting side when it is unplugged.
A key application of the Han L32 B connecting solution is use in the power supply of an injection moulding machine, in which the housing is equipped with Han E inserts. In the automotive sector, this connector can be additionally teamed up with Han pneumatic modules to transmit compressed air in small installation spaces. This housing is 57 millimetres (mm) wide – exactly 25 mm wider that the next smaller size of 24 B.
This new addition allows HARTING to offer seven different sizes for the Han B – namely, 6, 10, 16, 24, 32, L32, and 48. This way, installation space is optimized in various applications.
