New Clippard Cordis CPS pressure sensors provide high accuracy levels

The Cordis CPS series from Wainbee

Wainbee Limited has just expanded its product lineup with a new Clippard solution: the Cordis CPS series of pressure sensors. This new line of transducers is conditioned and offers customized calibration around any application needs, while enabling a full-scale accuracy of ¼ of a per cent over the calibrated range.

With multiple mounting options, the new Cordis CPS series can be used as a standalone unit or in conjunction with the Clippard Cordis pressure controller.

For static or dynamic applications

The user can place the sensor downstream or in a remote location from the pressure controller, due to the various mounting options. This enables a faster response, while helping to prevent any lag in the system. The manifold mount is very suitable for analytical, value-added assemblies and eliminates any potential contamination during assembly, and all wetted materials are oxygen-compatible. The other available mounting options are Male 1/8-inch NPT, Male 1/8-inch BSPT, and 7/16-20 UNF face seal.

Other key advantages of the Cordis CPS series of pressure sensors include downstream sensor feedback, multiple VDC signal outputs, compatibility with static or dynamic applications, multiple options for electrical connection, and customizable pressure ranges and mounting options. In addition, these transducers from Wainbee are temperature-compensated and have an IP65 protection rating. Among the technical specifications for these units:

• Medium: clean, dry, non-corrosive gases.
• Calibrated pressure range: Vacuum to 150 psig.
• Typical response time: less than five milliseconds.
• Materials (wetted): polyamide sensor, aluminum body, FKM o-rings, ENP brass fitting, and ultem manifold.
• Linearity: plus or minus ¼ of a per cent BFSL.
• Operating temperature range: zero to 70 degrees Celsius.
• Mounting attitude: any.
• Voltage: 12 to 24 VDC.
• Current draw: less than 20 mA.
• Signal output: zero to five, zero to ten, or ½ to 4½ VDC.
