battery nutrunner

Dobco offers the CP86 series of battery nutrunners.

Chicago Pneumatic (CP) is one of many renowned manufacturers whose products are available in Canada through Dobco Equipment Ltd. The latest development by CP for the energy and heavy-equipment sectors is the CP86 series of nutrunners. Each innovative battery nutrunner in this group can reach 8,100 Newton metres of torque, among the highest levels in the bolting market. CP has designed the CP86 series for demanding customers who want higher precision, repeatability, and mobility.

Battery for extended operation

The CP86 series has an exclusive CP battery, which is compact and long-lasting, to enable extended operation compared to similar tools; the standard model can run 250 cycles before the battery needs changing. The manufacturer has designed a dedicated application with the user in mind, CPLinQ, to help boost productivity for managers who want more control and quality process in the field. CPLinQ is available on Android and iOS.

There are four models in this battery nutrunner series – the CP8613, CP8626, CP8641, and CP8681 – with three levels of features. The standard CP86XX model offers torque control and an automatic release reaction arm. The CP86XXC adds angle control, an application library, tool-status management, a maintenance timeline, an operating alert, and a tool lock and finder. With the CP86XXCQ, the user also gets data collection, fast report, a counting sequence, and an application report via e-mail or another communication app with a CSV file.

This battery nutrunner offers extended mobility and precision with plus-or-minus four per cent accuracy and a tightening speed of up to ten revolutions per minute. It is ideal for many field operations, with no pumps, compressors, or any other heavy tools required. Another key benefit of this series from Dobco is process control, via CPLinQ, which saves extra time on every task, reduces errors, and reinforces overall quality standards.

Each CP86 nutrunner has a sound pressure of 70 dB(A) and a vibration of less than 2½ metres per second squared, while weights run from five to 14 kilograms. Each of the four models is standalone; the CP8681 does not offer connected maintenance.
