The new Arbiter Mako electronic test gauge

Chevrier Instruments Inc. carries one of Canada’s top inventories of test and measurement devices, and it is always expanding its lineup. The latest addition to the Chevrier family is the acclaimed new Mako electronic back flow tester from Arbiter. Available with three or five valves, this unique backflow test kit is a digital alternative to traditional backflow test kits.

Comes with current certification

The only gauge certified by USC, the MAKO allows users to waste less time dealing with rope, writing down values, guessing at the correct readings, or fiddling with adapters. Among its many features is a Capture button that stores readings during tests and an easy-to-read, high-visibility backlit digital display that makes readings visible in dark areas or bright sunlight. The rate-of-change graph shows how fast the reading is changing, and the swivel hook enables hanging onto a pipe or ladder.

This electronic back flow tester uses four AA batteries, which have long lifespans, and comes with a padded soft case, three hoses, and a bleed hose with clips. These flexible hoses have sturdy brass connectors and make it easier to access tight spots. Also included with this device from Chevrier is current certification. With the Capture button, users do not have to worry about interruptions; there is no need to start over after pauses to answer customers’ calls. With the backlit display, the reading looks the same from every angle, so users no longer wonder if they are looking from directly in front of the instrument. In addition, the soft rubber grips and ergonomic design makes it easy and comfortable to hold.

Another benefit is a padded soft case that enables use of this electronic back flow tester without having to remove it from the case. A filter is installed in brass filter housing. Additional flexible hoses, designed to be compliant with the standards of NSF61 and the United States Food and Drug Administration, can be stored by wrapping through the loop on the case.
