Festo’s new VZXA delivers everything the process sector requires in an angled seat valve — and more.

Key features

This unit has optimized bore passages, which enable extremely high flow rates of highly viscous media, liquids, gases or vapours. It also has a sturdy steel body to ensure a long, reliable service life. In addition, the unit is quick and easy to clean inside and out because there is virtually no dead space inside. But what really sets VZXA apart from other angled seat drives is its modular design.

A unique design

VZXA valves consist of the angled seat body, a piston or diaphragm actuator, a sealing cartridge and a visual position indicator. The valve body and actuator modules are self-contained units that can be combined thanks to standardized interfaces. This also makes them easy to assemble and maintain, and allows for the actuator to be replaced during maintenance without opening the unpressurized piping. Designed as a compact cartridge that can be changed easily and quickly without using special tools, the patented sealing system prevents leakage of the medium into the actuator.

Additional details

The large optical position indicator is a standard feature, and comes with a transparent polyethersulfone hood. This allows VZXA valves to be used in chemically aggressive environments. Actuators for VZVA come in three sizes — 46- and 75-millimetre piston types and 90-millimetre diaphragm types). They are also available in single- or double-acting models. Valve bodies are available in seven, 2/2-way nominal sizes with threaded, clamped and welded connections. VZXA can also be used in customized valve blocks.

A leading manufacturer

The VZXA angled seat valve comes from the bright minds at Festo, a global leader in automation technology. Festo has earned a reputation for offering innovative pneumatic and electric drive technology, whether it’s individual products or ready-to-install solutions.
