New angle seat valve offers versatility, simplicity and more

The new addition

Festo’s VZXF angle seat valves for process automation are designed to control gaseous or liquid fluids in both closed and open operation. A combination of simplicity and extreme sturdiness, the poppet-style valves are available in brass or stainless steel casings to suit the specific requirements of the application. 

The versatile valves can be mounted in any position and are compatible with Festo external control. In addition, the VZXF Series 2/2-way valves are an excellent choice when working with such media as vapour, high viscous fluids up to 600 mm2/s and slightly contaminated media.

VZXF options

VZXF angle seat valves are available in two versions — either closing in the direction of media flow for gaseous substances, or closing against the media flow for fluids, drastically reducing the water hammer effect, which can result in premature wear of both valve and other components. 

There are a large number of variants and configuration options available, which cover a wide range of media pressures and operating conditions, ensuring customers find the exact solution to meet their requirements. For example, variants are available that offer high corrosion resistance, explosion protection, high thermal resistance and more. A PWIS-free variant is ideal for use in production areas where paint-wetting impairment must be avoided, and a vacuum version is also part of the lineup. This variant is ideal for packaging machines that need to generate a vacuum.
