N.R. Murphy offers three standard construction designs. Standard cyclones are the most common models, available in multiple sizes and suitable for coarse sawdust and shavings or material with few extreme fines. Long cone spirals and skimmers can be added. Chip cyclones have short cone sections and are most recommended for heavy wood chips with minimal fines. High-efficiency units come in various sizes, from larger diameters to smaller units, for different capacities.

These rugged designs use heavy gauge carbon steel, abrasion-resistant steel, special alloys, and rubber linings. The standard design includes heavy gauge wiped galvanized all-welded construction and painting in one of many available colours. Cyclones usually leave the N.R. Murphy plant completely assembled, for fast setup at the customer’s workplace.
