industrial disc springs

Daemar offers several series of disc springs.

Daemar Inc. is the only name a company needs to get essential industrial components. The vast lineup includes components for retaining purposes, from tapered and spiral retaining rings to constant sections and wave springs. Daemar’s inventory of industrial disc springs meets strict European standards for quality. These units are available in multiple sizes for different applications, and the supplier recommends them for use with actuators, ball valves, and windmills.

Customized springs for specific applications

A standard product range of Daemar disc springs is available – the DIN Metric Series, which consists of 254 products in 246 sizes, with outside diameters going from six to 250 millimetres (mm) and inner diameters ranging from 3.2 to 127 mm. These industrial disc springs are manufactured from Ck 67 and 50 CrV 4 and have a standard corrosion protection of zinc phosphating and oiling. Disc springs that are at least ½ a millimetre thick are shot-peened to increase their fatigue. Bolt sizes go from three to 125 mm.

Another type of industrial disc springs Daemar carries is the DIN 6796 series of Belleville washers. These components are designed to preload bolts, but not for tasks involving dynamic loads. Like the DIN 2093 series, heavy-duty Belleville washers – also known as conical washers – are made from Ck 67 and 50 CrV 4. Bolt sizes range from two to 30 mm, outer diameters range from five to 69.85 mm, and inner diameters run from 2.21 to 30.99 mm.

DMR Belleville disc springs produce high loads when they are deflected to their flat positions. The deflection lowers the spring rate of the bolted system substantially, which lowers the change in the bolt’s preload and thereby prevents leaks through the joint. This DMR series is most suitable for live loading of flange joints and valve steam packing gland applications. The variations include springs with bolt stress of 30,000, 45,000, or 60,000 pounds and springs with PH 17-7 PH material.

In addition to standard disc springs, Daemar can offer customized ones for specific applications. All disc springs are available pre-assembled in stacks or on guiding devices.
